Inspired By: Typography (and Hello Hydrangea)
Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 1:25PM If you haven't come across it yet, one of my favorite new blogs is called Hello Hydrangea and there's a lot to see over there! Leslie, the owner, posts these really neat "inspired by" pieces where she shares her inspiration, and then how she adapts it into something of her own. I pretty much love all the ones she's done and she's totally inspired me to well...find more inspiration in my daily life. So after falling in love with this:

I took a sharpie, some card stock and a paper cutter to make this:

My version references the incomparable Conan and is full of things I love. It's also quite messy in spots and is a bit chaotic, which just makes it more me I guess! Sleepy owls, singing cats, and kissing quails make me smile whenever I look at it (although I confess I am glad to be done).
In other news, I made coasters with some leftover felt by using this tutorial from How About Orange. :)
